See ya in 2010 Frisco

Well after spending an eventful friday night at a local hotel. Quick recap- BB and her kiddos and me and CJ2- kids in pjs not watching alvin and the chipmunks-hopped up on cold stone creamery-while mommies attempt to drink vino and complete a full sentence without reprimanding bed hopping monkeys! Good times!
Headed back to home to say final goodbye. I am gonna miss my home- yes, aesthetically I love it but even more than that I really like my neighborhood and memories of good times at that house. Headed down to Dallas to hang with my sister and her family until we fly out to MI on Monday. So sad not to meet my niece (I am optimist my sis already has 2 boys) in November. Sat night- Chris and I finally did not have a huge to do list today- and actually picked up sushi (Blue Fish) and drank some red wine to RELAX.

Quick predictions for 2010 for Frisco
1) more food options than sonic, mcds, and the mall
2)kids in the neighborhood who are not playmates but actually can babysit
3) a better mall- EXPAND Nordstroms-lose Sears
4)night life options that don't involve coffee shops (although I like my lattes)
5)more delivery options (again I regress to food)

Return to Sender

As I begin this blog- I am sitting on boxes with a laptop and not much else in our house; the movers are almost done and we will be off to the UK shortly. We are excited but right now just dealing with boxes and a 4 and 2.5 year old that do not want to leave their neighborhood. Feeling like we just did this-oh wait in 6 years of marriage this will be our 5th home! Yes the title of this post alludes to my fear of not getting all my mail forwarded by the US postal service. But right now I am reopening mover packed boxes to find blankies and missing safari animals. The good news is- for international moves you can't take candles or booze- so I as I type a very refreshing Tyler candle (celebrity) is burning and we have 6 bottles of vino to polish in the remaining 4 days. I have a can do it attitude! Not sure how else to introduce this blog- I can promise mild complaining offset by some humor, misspelled words (yes my mom was an English teacher) and general life observations. I would love to have my kiddos clothed in cute little Burberry outfits holding union jack flags but who are we kidding we still haven't found a house to live in England.

Off to work on the wine and scented candles!
